Creative Direction & Mentoring

I believe leadership isn’t always about direction, but about creating space and the right culture - enabling young talents to grow, develop, and step confidently into the design industry.

Below you will find my personal selection of the four most relevant cases I’ve been involved in that embody this philosophy.

My journey progresses from personal exploration as a student, to guiding individuals through thesis supervision, empowering groups of students, and finally culminates in creating the space and culture within a corporate design organization - where all these elements come together to foster collective creative growth.

Case 03

The Design Talent Studio

A studio within a studio for the next generation of designers.

In short, the Design Talent Studio is a vibrant, advanced hub where students lead, supported by a dedicated team of industry mentors. Together, through a close-knit mentoring program and a holistic design approach, I've crafted something truly unique in the automotive landscape.

Case 02

Global University Collaborations

The creative power grid for a studio.
Design university collaborations are important for an automotive design studio because they serve as a powerful source of fresh thinking, experimentation, and long-term talent development.

Case 01

Mentoring Thesis Projects

Mentoring thesis students involves guiding them to deeply explore a focused topic of high relevance, uncovering fresh insights and novel perspectives. Together, we creatively interpret these findings - helping students find their own signature while aligning with the DNA of a brand.

Case 00

(Un)caged Creativity

What happens to creativity when freedom is taken away?
To find out, I spent a day "undercover" in a public prison as part of the research for my Master’s thesis - and came out with more questions, insights, and impressions than I ever expected.

This is where my professional creative journey started.
